When I think of a favorite thing I'm terrible at it. Yet here we go the Wizard/mage/magic-user.
Is my favorite. Depending on how things go you can use devastating force against your opponents.
From the reign of pain that is Fireball to Otto's Irresistible Dance the magic-user has way more tools at their disposal then most classes. Staying in the side lines and peppering damage or just devastating in combat has it's ups and downs.
Also Magic missile ALWAYS HITS and a Staff of them is like a freaking machine gun of damage.
